Ramcharan after proving his mettle in Tollywood, made his entry into Bollywood with dream debut ZANJEER, the remake of Amitabh’s 70s super hit with the same title, it’s been renamed as TOOFAN in Telugu. The film had gone through many issues during shooting and amidst many problems, it got released on 6th September, let’s see how the movie fares at BO.

Story:
ACP Vijay Khanna (Ramcharan) is an upright cop who never tolerates crime and injustice due to which he has face several transfers and lastly lands up in Mumbai.He takes charge and starts investigating about the murder mystery of a deputy collector, he soon finds out oil mafia don Rudra Pratap (Prakashraj) behind it.

Mala (Priyanka Chopra) is an NRI who comes to India to attend a wedding and she witnesses the murder of deputy collector and she informs the matter to ACP Vijay, before Vijay proves Pratap as the culprit, he uses his power and gets the ACP suspended. The hero vows to take his revenge on the villain, how he does with the help of Sher Khan (Srihari) and Journalist (Tanikella Bharani) is the rest of the story.

Performances:
Though Ramcharan’s appeared confident in the role, the role was not presented powerfully and the impact of heroism is purely missing.

Priyanka Chopra is a totally misfit. She is neither glamorous nor performed well.

Srihari teamed up with Ramcharan after MAGADHEERA and his Sherkhan role is not that powerful as that of Pran’s in the original ZANJEER, though he has given his best, the character fails to create any impact.

Prakashraj has done similar roles many times and he carries the role with great ease and he’s the only saving grace of the film. He brings some relief into the otherwise monotonous film.

Tanikella Bharani is good in the role of a Journalist.

Final Say:
Many of the South heroes try to establish themselves in Bollywood; barring Rajnikanth none have been successful, comedy has become the mandatory element in almost all the films these days, lack of comedy makes the film more boring. It’s a forgettable debut for Ramcharan; this is just a rani not TOOFAN.
