Ramayya Vastavayya Movie Review Latest Updates

Story:
Nandu (NTR) is a happy go lucky college guy with bunch of friends around him; they lead a tension free life. One day, he happens to see Akshara (Samantha) who is a student of the other College. He falls in love with her on first sight and tries all his best ways to impress her. Though initially she rejects him, accepts him later. NTR gets very close to Samantha’s family members; Samantha invites him for her elder sister’s marriage in Karnataka. There he meets Samantha’s father Nagabhushanam (Mukesh Rishi). To everyone’s shock NTR kills Mukesh Rishi.

Why did NTR love Samantha and why did he kill Mukesh Rishi forms the rest of the story

Performances:
Only NTR is the life and soul of this movie, he has given very good performances in every department though his trade mark punch dialogues are missing in the movie.

Samantha is cute and bubbly, seems to have put on bit of weight to increase her oomph factor. She doesn’t have much scope to perform.
Shruthi Hasan did a cameo role, she is a misfit for the role, her dubbing, makes up and costumes are not proper.

Mukesh Rishi, though he has a very lengthy role, his role doesn’t appear effective and he did not have any powerful dialogues.

Though Ravi Shankar enters in the later half, he is superb and very effective.

Kota, Tanikella Bharani, Rao Ramesh are good, Rohini Hattangadi is a misfit.

Analysis:
Harish Shankar who is high on confidence after the super success of GABBAR SINGH has chosen the story which is very old-fashioned and resembles of the movie in the 80s. The screenplay is very poor and except one or two, the dialogues are also not so great. Music, editing are a big letdown for this movie. There’s an overdose of action in the movie.

The director who delivered great comedy in MIRAPAKAY and GABBAR SINGH failed to extract comedy. Though Mukesh Rishi has a lengthy role, his characters is not strong enough to elevate the hero’s’ character. Rohini Hattangadi is known for her decent role is a complete misfit in this movie.

The director hasn’t had any clear idea of how to make the film and tried to exploit the mass image of NTR to most but failed to convince, everything right from direction to music is a big minus for the movie.

Highlights: NTR

Drawbacks:
Story, Screenplay, Direction, Music

Final Say:
It’s better to avoid this movie unless you are an ardent fan of NTR.
