Nandamuri Kalyan Ram desperate for a career-turning hit has taken a considerable gap and has come up with his most prestigious and much-hoped project OM which is said to be the first ever 3D action film in India. Let’s see if the film helps him brings him any luck or not.

Story:
The story has nothing new to offer, it’s the same old revenge drama. Arjun (Kalyan Ram) and Harischandra Prasad loves his father Harischandra Prasad (Karthik) and can go to any extent for him, his father makes Bair Reddy (Rao Ramesh) lose his power and Bair Reddy plans to take revenge on Harish Chandra Prasad and bails out Bhavani Shankar (Sampath Raj) from Jail.

Arjun (Kalyan Ram) falls in love with Anjali (Kirthi) and gets shocked to know that she is planning to kill her father and few situations lead him to meet Riya (Nikeeash) who happens to be his father’s friend’s daughter.

The rest of the story is can Kalyan Ram able to save his father from evil forces or not.

Performances:
Kalyan Ram has suited the role, but unable to deliver an outstanding performance, he has usual trademark routine expressions.

Kirthi and Nikeesha have done their bit, nothing much to perform for these ladies except some skin show by Nikeesha.

Karthik is seen on screen after a long time and it’s surprising to see him still maintaining the young looks.

Rao Ramesh and Sampath were not used properly, Suresh was over enthusiastic and Sitara is good.

Highlights:

Analysis:
As Kalyan Ram already told, it’s the story that saves the film and 2D, 3D and 4D doesn’t help if the story lacks proper execution.The same happened to OM as well, the release ACTION 3D is a perfect example which clearly proved it’s the story and execution and not any technical wonders can save the film.

Kalyan Ram has put in lots of effort to bring the extravaganza but, all his efforts have become futile, the director fails to engage the audience and 2 hours, the film becomes boring and tests your patience.

Entertainment is the saving grace for any film even for a top hero these days. Zero entertainment is also one of the main reasons for this film’s failure.
